He could probably follow it well enough--might have a little trouble on his blind side for sure, but it's doable. His vines are great for fast long range attacks, and up close and personal, he prefers big, powerful, if slow, blows and kicks. No reason to trip and flail around in public if it doesn't benefit him, right?]
